Bintan ClubMed!

OMG. I know this is super late but I'm just freaking lazy>.<

Like I might be busy but I definitely have some time off my busy schedule to do this..and apparently I just procrastinated! KILL ME! >.<

So back to topic.. not much photos were taken during the trip because it was a family trip and I didn't want to spend too much time on the camera..moreover, our family activities were so piled up and kept us all busy I didn't even really had the time to hold onto my camera.

SO ..I'm just gonna roughly talk about the trip and it's perks^.^

This was a 4 days 3 nights trip to ClubMed Bintan.

Before the trip, I actually went to ask around and surprisingly not a lot of people know what ClubMed was. SO I went online to do some research and walaaah! The reviews on the club was good.. like really good.

It was pretty much like going on a cruise but this is on island instead.

But then I was thinking to myself, unless I tried it.. otherwise, seeing videos and reviews doesn't justify how good it is.

Then came our turn to experience!

We took off really early in the morning, left home around 6 a.m, had breakfast at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and then blard the boat at 8 a.m. We reached Bintan at around 9 a.m, 45 mins ride. Well, at least we managed to catch the sunrise while having breakfast(:

Then of course, clear custom and what not. Not much to talk about.

Once we cleared the customs, we headed straight to the ClubMed counter where we were approached by friendly stuff to pick us and our luggages up. We were then each given a coloured string to be tied on our wrists as an access key to the Club..any age below 21 has a green string where any above gets the orange one. This is because the staff can tell when they are ordering drinks. Those with the green strings were not allowed to order alcohol apparently.

With that tied, we are ready to go and headed to the bus..

The bus was really empty, like only the 13 of us were on board with two other couple, probably cause we were really early therefore we were able to get the bus to ourselves.

It was a pretty fast ride, I would say about 15 mins or maybe less? hahaha

But on the way there, it was like an empty piece of land over and over again. Nothing much around it, and at the point of time I was thinking to myself, hey they got to be kidding...what can we do here ? really?

This was pretty much what we saw on the way there.. I tried to take a video of it but there was nothing just trees and bushes and this was SS out of a video.

However, we finally reached ! and guess what! The place looked really amazing !!! The staff were really nice and polite too! Even before the us reached, there were already staff standing at the entrance waiting to welcome us! Like you know when you go to Japan, and before you even reached the hotel the staff are already outside standing, waiting to welcome you! That was the exact feels ! And we were even given welcome drinks !

They then proceeded to explain how things work and where we can go to find what we need. Everything in the Club was included, even alcohol! Can you imagine, free flow of food and alcohol?! Who the hell would think it's not good enough?! That's already one of the best part of the trip for a food addict like me !!! YUMSSS YUMSSS YUMSSS!

The club was really big ! The main lobby was in the middle and both sides of the lobby are a long stretch of rooms!

Best thing? THE BEACH IS JUST RIGHT IN FRONT !

Just by looking at this view got me so excited already!

However, because we were so early, we were not able to check in till around 3pm.. so instead, we hd to wait around the lobby and instead, the younger ones went to explore around the place.. I took a pic with my cousins and knocked out right the the sofa at the lounge because apparently, I was so tired my body decided it should shut down for a while!hohohoho!

Taken right before I knocked out ! >.<

Knocked out for about 45 mins and woke up as I felt uncomfortable falling asleep while sitting.. sat around for a while and it was finally lunch time!! Finally I get to eat some food !The buffet spread was really wide with a lot of different cuisine to choose from. BUT!! The porridge was really nice ! I fell right in love with it and never stopped eating porridge for the next few days even though I also ate other food ! Porridge became a must!

After lunch, we were finally able to check in but because the time was already quite late, we went to the rooms, changed into our costumes and headed straight for the beach where we managed to soak ourselves int he sea and let the waves hit us for a while, build some sand shit and played beach volleyball!! That was really fun! We did all these in a bout 2-3 hours...

errr... whatever you think this is, it is!>.<

The human like turtle built by my uncle!

The goldfish built by my cousin!

And we even managed to take a picture of a rainbow although it didn't rain!

There you go !

After the beach activities it was time for some dinner ! and so off we went !

The first day ended with a show put up by the staff. And apparently the staff puts up a performance every evening for the guests!

Applause to them ! really great effort!

Didn't manage to take photos of all the shows but this was one of the best shows I watched on all 3 nights !

After the shows, they have a "party night" where the lounge was transformed to some dance floor and everyone, including the staff, just danced and had fun. And every night has a different theme.

The next day, we planned to go to the beach again, but the red flag was up.. what is the red flag?

SO explanation goes, there are three flags , the green or white, I cannot remember, the red and the black.. and like your traffic light, green/white means you are good to go, red means watch out, try not to go out in the sea, and black means danger, don't you even dare try! It basically tell you whether there is high tide or not and whether is it safe for you to even be out at sea. So the 2nd day it was red flag and apparently, the tides were hitting in as it was monsoon season!

There goes our plans...instead, we went to the pool as a substitute. Then we had lunch at this other restaurant on the other end of the island and managed to catch some squirrels in action...

As it was an open concept restaurant, once in a while, you'll catch Soe squirrels coming in to steal a stick of sugar or coffee powder to eat^^ After which, we went to the sports hall to play some sports. There was a gym, classes to attend, badminton court, tennis court, basketball court, squash court, archery area..and we did all of those! Finish all activities and we went back to swimming as it was still early... we then came up with games to play in the pool like Marco Polo, water volleyball etc.. then it was time for dinner and off we went to get a shower and headed for dinner.

This night however, the ladies went for a massage by the beach! Okay, how cool does that sound right ! Just imagine closing your eyes to a nice massage while hearing the waves ...how calming and relaxing was that! My uncle treat us all to the massage so we all had a really god one!

After the massage while we were walking back, we saw some flea market going on and they had games like it was a carnival, the night was just so hyped up.

The third day came, and the black flag was up this time. At this point we were all thinking how lucky were we to actually be able to go to the beach on the first day!

Since we couldn't really do much of the activities and we didn't wanna jut swim the day away, the 13 of us came up with a brilliant idea to play hide and seek and this huge ass place! It was freaking awesome ! We just had fun running and hiding from he guys who were supposed to come find us!

After the hide and seek game, we went for lunch and after lunch continued with other games that we planned like card games and some other family games we used to play when we are overseas!

Honestly, if you are not looking for a relaxing holiday but instead an super adventurous one, ClubMed might just not be for you. This is a really relaxing kind of getaway, or a family friendly kind of holiday. They do have activities like trekking in the woods, water activities but if you are like super adventurous and always want to explore, ClubMed wouldn't be the right choice for you.

But if you just want a few days away from the world and your problems, just relax and shut your mind off, be away from all the city problems and just RELAX, go to ClubMed! It really helps you get away from real world problems. Once in a while when you are bored, have some activities , do some yoga, water aerobics to fill up your boredom. Then have a drink or two and just relax and shut your mind off. ClubMed is really a good getaway, or family kind of holiday!

I would definitely return again as I hate busy streets, noisy places and fast paced lifestyle.

I just love the serenity and calmness ClubMed has to offer.

Do whatever I want on my own pace. Just relax and stay away from the world.

So comes the part everyone wants to know..

The price? Is there Wifi?

The price for ladies is lower than for guys because I think apparently they naturally assume that guys drink more than girls,(I am not sure, I just made this up hahaha) we paid 700 plus for the ladies and 800plus for the guys. However, this is all inclusive except for the massage and spa which is payable.

AND YESSSS WIFI IS INCLUDED! All around the club, wifi is everywhere. So you don't have to worry about not being able to watch some drama while you shut yourself out of the real world. You don't have to worry about streaming Spotify on data, you can still access your social media !

So that's all for this post! You can ask me questions in the comment box below and I will see you guys on my next post!
